I'm setting up a YouTube channel to share and inspire....

I'm excited to share some news! I've started a YouTube Channel! The name of my channel is "BlueFire and Clay" I'll be sharing weekly videos and more!

Why is BlueFire doing this you might well ask : ) Well, my hope and intent is to share inspiring information which I hope that you will find useful in your own creative adventures whatever they may be... maybe you are creating clay artworks or painting or poetry or cooking your breakfast and dreaming and dancing your life into being!

Just uploaded a video of new artworks fresh out of my kiln. You'll see them first at my channel ! Actually, since it is 8 minutes long, you will only see a video of that length there : )

Future videos will include:

- new artworks and inspirations

- clay working techniques

- favorite tools and how to use them

- kiln building and firing experiments

- instructional videos

- meditations to inspire your creativity

Please join me...Here's the link to my new YouTube channel:

Interview in Rapid River Magazine

Wonderful interview in local art magazine, “Rapid River Magazine” . Very insightful questions which brought out all sorts of revelations about the basis of my artwork.

My studio display moves online.

Due to COVID-19, I’ve consolidated my 2 studio workspaces and now do all of my work at my home studio. I’ve closed my Asheville studio and studio display location and am now showing artwork online in my shop on this website. My Etsy online shop will remain open as well.

I’ve had a studio at each of my homes for most of the 30 years I’ve been working in clay where i’ve done most of my creative work. Where I live now these last 12 years is quiet and surrounded by forests and all the inspiring beauty of these amazing mountains here in North Carolina. While I miss meeting visitors in the Asheville River Arts District, there is a peaceful and supportive space at my home studio that feels especially wonderful right now. I plan to set up ways for folks to visit digitally through Instagram live stream. I hope you will keep in touch and visit me on Instagram @bluefirestudio

I will continue to sell work in local galleries as well.

New web site

Setting up a trial web site on Squarespace. Now this is a web site service that works well with design features that appeal to the graphic designer in me. ( I worked as a graphic designer in my former life) and it is Mac friendly, too. I'm sold.
